We are grateful to the many generous supporters and volunteers who donate their time, energy and funds to camp. The support of these generous souls – many of whom are alumni and all of whom we consider friends – is vital to our operations and our ability to provide Jewish youth with formative leadership experiences.

Here is how your donation will make a difference:

Support Camperships

No child will be turned away from Camp Miriam due to lack of funds. That’s our policy and we haven’t veered from it in seven decades of operation. The John Fraser Campership Fund provides subsidies to many Jewish kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend a summer camp that not only strengthens their Jewish identity, but also provides a connection to Jewish heritage.

Invest in our urgent needs

Running summer programing and maintaining our infrastructure is a costly endeavour and the tuition we receive from camp fees is not adequate to cover all of our costs. Your donations to our general use fund are vital in supporting Camp’s ongoing and urgent needs.

Alisa Bowman Leadership Fund

Supporting the education of Camp Miriam’s future leaders is of utmost importance to the future of Camp, and it was a cause near and dear to Alisa Bowman. This fund was founded in her memory as a tribute to her vision of developing Jewish leaders and strong leadership for Camp. It provides financial aid to participants in Camp Miriam and Habonim leadership development programs.

Capital improvements

Over the years funds have been raised to fund numerous capital building projects to improve the existing camp facilities and build new ones. Recent projects include a new spacious winterized double-cabin, shower facility, kitchen renovations and expansion, pool deck expansion and the construction of a new two-story infirmary building. Your donations to our building fund will ensure we can continue to upgrade our facilities.

Create a Legacy

Preserve and perpetuate the invaluable youth-leading-youth from generation to generation by investing in Miriam’s future through a legacy gift to the Miriam Builders and Dreamers Legacy Society.
