MADATZ LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Madatz is a seven-week summer leadership training summer program that prepares young adults to become future Jewish role models. Post-Grade 11 youth are eligible to apply.
Madatz live, learn and work together as a close-knit group. For many participants, the Madatz summer is one of the most formative experiences of their youth – a summer of personal growth and of making friendships that last a lifetime.
The Madatz program is designed to build and enhance participants’ communication skills, develop programming ideas, explore their creativity, learn about child development and age-appropriate activities, and tap into their own unique strengths.
Senior Madrichim (counselors) plan the Madatz program and work closely with the Madatz Kvutza (group) throughout the summer.
Studies have shown that young people who complete leadership programs like Madatz are more likely to assume leadership roles as adults.
