AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY
Camp Miriam stands in solidarity with advocates for justice, equality and inclusion. Based on the principle of ‘shivyon erech ha’adam‘ (equality of human value), we strive to create an inclusive youth community for all counsellors and campers. Every human, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, class or status is welcome at camp and is encouraged to contribute towards creating a safe space where each individual is valued, their voice is heard, and their needs are respected. We acknowledge and accommodate campers according to the gender to which they identify. This includes providing access to gender-neutral bathrooms at camp.
